At
the very highest level snooker revolves as much around the mental
strength of an individual as it does the technical skill and ability
that they possess.
Obviously
some players are better than others, but better at what and why?
How do some players seemingly cope with everything thrown at them,
whilst others miss balls that they would pot all day long and
contrive to lose when it is easier to win.
Are they mentally tougher, do they have greater confidence in
their own ability or is it simply that they can hold themselves
together when under extreme pressure?
I believe it is a combination of factors which allows some individuals
to cope with pressure better than others, not least of which is
the experience of having been there before.
In this section discover the part that luck plays in snooker,
the effects of pressure and tension and how to focus your mind
for the big game.
"Preparation is vital in snooker, both on the table and in the
mind".
